HOW TO: FRENCH PRESS

French Press

You have likely seen a french press before, and this is because they are actually pretty affordable and easy to use. Want to use elbow grease instead of electricity? The french press is here for you.

Let's assume you're making two cups of coffee. Take 1/4 cup of coffee beans and grind them to about the size of breadcrumbs. Put the grinds in the glass beaker. Bring two cups (16 oz) of water to a boil, then pull the pot off of the heat and let it sit for a minute. Pour the water into the beaker and stir with the grounds to let them mix. Let everything sit for four minutes. Then take the plunger, put it on top of the beaker, and depress the plunger until it stops. Pour the coffee into your two cups, and share your victory with a friend.

Looking to make four cups? Easy. Double the recipe: 1/2 cup coffee and 4 cups of water. The same ratio applies throughout. Enjoy!
